Visitor Moorings

Description

The Otago Regional Council has two swing moorings available that can be used by visiting vessels. They are available at:

• Careys Bay (one visitor mooring)

• Deborah Bay (one visitor mooring)

The coordinates of Careys Bay mooring are 45’48.329S 170’37.683E. Careys Bay has a maximum vessel length of 20 metres and a maximum draught of 2.5 metres.

The coordinates of Deborah Bay mooring are 45’48.142S 170’37.782E. Deborah Bay has a maximum vessel length of 12 metres and a maximum draught of 1.5 metres.

You can arrive with your vessel anytime from 15:00 (3pm) on your booked day of arrival. You must depart with your vessel by 15:00 (3pm) on your booked day of departure.

You can currently book one visitor mooring at one location for up to 48 hours for free. You can only book a maximum of 48 hours (two days) at one location within a 30-day period for your vessel. If you wish to moor your vessel at any of the two visitor moorings beyond 48 hours, please contact the Harbourmaster team harbourmaster@orc.govt.nz.
